Create Your Own Jewish Legacy
of the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas

LIFE & LEGACY™ is a 4-year partnership program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) that assists communities across North America, through partnerships with Jewish Federations and Foundations, to promote after-lifetime giving to benefit Jewish day schools, synagogues, social service organizations and other Jewish entities.
Through training, support and monetary incentives, LIFE & LEGACY™ motivates Jewish organizations to secure legacy gifts, steward donors and integrate legacy giving into the philanthropic culture of the Jewish community.
In November of 2017 Jewish Nevada and The Harold Grinspoon Foundation launched this outstanding program in Nevada. With 7 local organizations and agencies as participating partners, the Nevada LIFE & LEGACY™ Program will secure legacy commitments to support local organizations, and ensure a thriving future for our Jewish community.
Congregation P’nai Tikvah is a participating agency and benefactor. If you have any questions about Legacy Giving at the Jewish Community Foundation please feel free to contact Rabbi Mintz at for more information.

A note from Jewish Nevada (J N) on the current situation in Ukraine…

With the Russian invasion now underway and multiple locations under fire, concerns about the wellbeing of the Jewish community in Ukraine have accelerated.

JN has been staying in contact with our overseas partners, the JDC (Joint Distribution Committee), JAFI (the Jewish Agency for Israel), World ORT and JCC Global, who are on the ground assisting Jews in the community. Here is what we know right now:

100% of the funds raised for this emergency campaign will support crisis aid efforts to the Jewish community in Ukraine through the work of our global partners.

The Jewish Agency is focusing on Aliyah and community security.

The JDC is looking to maintain critical welfare services and assist internally displaced people in multiple locations.

Both JDC and the Jewish Agency have identified new and immediate needs, including emergency preparations, and stockpiling of goods for JDC Heseds, moving the Jewish Agency operation from Kyiv to Lviv, initiating the Jewish Agency Aliyah hotline, securing temporary housing for people in transit, and the purchase of satellite phones to maintain communications across the region.

World ORT is reporting an initial need of $100,000 to secure five ORT schools and to ensure that schools and staffs are equipped to respond to emergency needs at the school locations.

We have set up a designated fund and will pass through 100% of the dollars raised directly to support the efforts of the JDC. You can also read updates from our partner organizations and other ways to help
