Congregation P’nai Tikvah offers free Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur High Holiday programs and services to the public as a way to welcome, engage, and connect with the Jewish community’s unaffiliated, Nellis AFB Jewish servicemen and women, college students, and Las Vegas visitors. Services will be held at Texas Station on Erev Rosh HaShanah Wednesday, September 4 at 7:00pm; Rosh HaShanah Thursday, September 5 at 10:00am; Kol Nidre – Yom Kippur evening Fri, September 13 at 7:00pm; and Yom Kippur Saturday, September 14th at 10:00am. Rabbi Yocheved Mintz will be joined by Cantor Marla Goldberg, along with the Congregation’s choir “Voices of Hope” under the direction of Dr. Ellen Royer with musical accompaniment by William Chenoweth for a deeply spiritual, reflective, and meaningful program. Cellist Zoe Kohen joins the religious services on Kol Nidre. A special program on Yom Kippur afternoon will feature Dr. Gard Jameson and Dr. Mark Baxter who will be speaking on Spirituality and Healthcare.

Special Afternoon Program. Yom Kippur afternoon will feature guests Gard Jameson and Dr. Mark Baxter, who will speak on “Spirituality and Healthcare.” Dr. Jameson and Dr. Baxter are on the formation board of the Nevada Center for Spirituality in Healthcare, and are active in the interfaith community.

Yizkor will take place during the mincha services after 4:00pm Yom Kippur afternoon. An informal break-the-fast immediately after N’eilah (the end of services) will also take place.
