High Holiday Services and Programs – A sweet New Year is sweeter WITH YOU! The High Holidays are just around the corner. Join us for our profound, meaningful Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur Services. We offer our services for FREE, to the public, but deeply appreciate your optional donations so that we can continue to serve the community with our religious and educational programs.
Featuring: Rabbi Yocheved Mintz, Cantor Marla Goldberg, along with the Congregation’s choir “Voices of Hope” under the direction of Dr. Ellen Royer with musical accompaniment by William Chenoweth for a deeply spiritual, reflective, and meaningful program. Jeremy Woolstenhume, cellist with the LV Philharmonic and the orchestra director for Hyde Park Middle School will accompany the religious services on Kol Nidre.

Congregation P’nai Tikvah is offering free High Holiday programs and services to the public as a way to welcome, engage, and connect with the Jewish community’s unaffiliated, Nellis AFB Jewish servicemen and women, college students, and Las Vegas visitors. Services will be held at Texas Station 2101 Texas Star Ln, North Las Vegas, NV 89032 on Erev Rosh HaShanah Wednesday, September 20 at 7:00pm; Rosh HaShanah Thursday, September 21 at 10:00am; Kol Nidre – Yom Kippur evening Fri, September 29 at 7:00pm; and Yom Kippur Saturday, September 30th at 10:00am. Rabbi Yocheved Mintz will be joined by Cantor Marla Goldberg, along with the Congregation’s choir “Voices of Hope” under the direction of Dr. Ellen Royer with musical accompaniment by William Chenoweth for a deeply spiritual, reflective, and meaningful program. Jeremy Woolstenhume, cellist with the LV Philharmonic and the orchestra director for Hyde Park Middle School will accompany the religious services on Kol Nidre. A special program on Yom Kippur afternoon will feature insightful topics.
The public is urged to support the synagogue’s High Holiday free services and educational and outreach efforts through donations with a suggested donation of $180 or more per guest. It is through this generosity, that one of the smallest local progressive congregations is able to make services available for all.
In addition to religious services, special educational programs are held at nominal cost to enhance the season including – Hi Ho Challah Bake-a-thon on Sun., Sept. 10, 1:00 to 4:00pm; and a special program in preparation for the holidays – Havdallah & Selichot Under the Stars on Sat. Eve, Sept. 16, 7:00pm.
